Loves Rubber Stamps - Have a Heart

Good Morning,
I am back with three more challenges for you today.  Please be sure to check out the other two posts and come to play along with us!

This weeks challenge at Loves Rubberstamps is Have a Heart.  All you have to do is have a heart on your creation, easy peasy!  We have a fabulous sponsor, Kenny K, who provided images for us to use.  Now, I have to admit, the image I used is a bit out of my normal.  However, I have learned that you will not grow if you don’t try something new.  So here goes….

Again stepping away from my normal square card, I have created a tag that I can use with a Valentines gift basket I plan to donate to a quarter auction for Relay for Life.  For the tag, I have used a kraft tag and inked around it with black soot distress ink.  I cut out My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline paper to add to the tag.  I distressed it and sewed it to the kraft tag.  Believe it or not, I do not have a heart die.  Well, I have a cricut cartridge that has a heart, but my cricut is buried right now.  So I just cut out my own heart.  I dry embossed it with a Tim Holtz alterations folder.  The image is Kenny K’s Sexy Cupid.  I colored her with my copics and rough cut her out.  I really liked her once I was done!  The tag was finished with some ribbon, a key charm and a WhiWhimsymsy sentiment.

Copics used:
 Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13

Ok, so now it is your turn! Come on over to LovesRubberstamps Challenge and play along with us!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #105– Anything Goes

Hello Friends!

I have three posts for today, so please be sure to scroll thru them to see all the goodies today!

I am back with another challenge for Party Time Tuesdays!  This week is the best - Anything Goes.  So anything you create a card, layout, tag or altered art, you can enter with us!

Our fabulous sponsor this week is the Paper Shelter and they generously provided this image, 100 Cute Outlines, for us to use.  She looks like she is ready to go shopping and have some fun!

I colored printed her on cryogen paper and colored her with copics.  I used my spellbinders dies to cut out the image.  The background paper is by Basic Grey, out of print.  I actually could not find any ribbon to match the card in my stash, so I used white ribbon and colored it with G24 copic to match the image.  I tied it in a bow and put a "Friend" charm along with it.  I finished it off with some pearls.

Hair:  E29, E35, E39
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Shirt/Hearts:  R81, R85, R89
Shorts:   G20, G21, G24
Shoes:  G20, G21, G24, R81, R85, R89
The inside uses more of the Basic Grey paper that was used on the outside.  I used a Printworks sentiment on a tag and tied it up with some ribbon.

Supplies used:

Image:  The Paper Shelter, 100 Cute Outlines
Inside Sentiment:  Printworks Collection “Happy Everything”
Paper:  Basic Grey – Out of Print
Dies:  Spellbinders Custom Circle
Embellishments: ribbon, tag, twine, charm

Thank you for stopping by!
Blessings until next time…

{PIN}spirational Challenge # 42

Hello Friends:

Welcome back to my blog if you are returning, I appreciate your visit!  If you are new to my blog, thank you for stopping by to check it out!

I have three posts for today, so please be sure to scroll up and see the other two for today.  Today we have a heart themed picture at {PIN}spirational Challenges.  Check it out!

Our sponsors this week:

I had something completely different in mind when I looked at the inspiration picture.  But what I find is that when I sit down at my desk to pull a creation together, it never quite ends up as I imagined.   I have used the Butterfly Collage digi image kindly provided by Gingerloft for this card today.  I have wanted for some time to create a side step card, so I thought why not on this one?  I have colored the image with my copics and then added some extra perfect pearls and pop microbeads to the butterflies.

Copics used:
Letter:  W00, W2, 0
Butterflies:  R00, R20, 0
Leaves:  YG93, YG95, 0

For the background of the card, I used white cardstock.  I added some Tim Holtz distress ink in dusty concord, spun sugar and victorian velvet to create my base.  Then I stamped a Paisley Background image in pumice stone distress ink.  I was still not 100% happy, so I added some hearts by Stampers Anonymous, Urban Chic, in victorian velvet ink.  I have added some extra decoration with the pearls, doily and trim.

We would love it if you would come and join us this week at {PIN}spirational Challenges.  With Valentine’s Day being only a few weeks away, there are so many projects that could be inspired by this picture.
Thank you for stopping by!  I can’t wait to see what you create!
Blessings until next time…
